For sale by auction...
The House is believed to have become a Hotel sometime after the Second World War. It was certainly a Hotel by 1953 when it was sold as part the break-up of the substantial Grayson estate, following the death of Sir Henry in 1951.
The auction took place on 1st September 1953, in the Hotel itself, and the Hotel was sold to John Bibby, allegedly for £7000, including all of the contents. The sale brochure is shown below.
